What file selection does today
The request form can hold selected PDF files in the current browser page for review. No file data is transmitted while live submission is disabled. A draft download records file names and sizes only; it does not package or copy the drawings.
Removing a selected file clears it from the form's selection. Reloading or leaving the page clears the application's in-memory selection. This does not delete the original file on your device.
Check that you may share the documents
Project drawings can belong to an owner, designer, contractor, or another party. Check your authority and contractual restrictions before sending them to an estimating provider. Use a receiving method confirmed for the project.
Restricted infrastructure, security details, personal information, and other sensitive content may need a different process. The website request helper is not a secure document room and does not establish a confidentiality agreement.
What the business must define for live handling
The owner must confirm who can access documents, which providers process them, where and how they are stored, how long they are retained, and how deletion requests are handled. A confidentiality statement must reflect that actual process.
The receiving service must validate uploads on the server, enforce limits, check file content, apply malware controls, keep objects private, and prevent public listing. Client-side file checks are convenience checks, not a security boundary.
Current form-helper limits
The local request helper allows up to five PDF selections, with a limit of 20 MB per file and 40 MB combined. The files remain in the browser page and are not included in the downloaded text brief. These interface limits do not promise that every document set can be accepted.
Review the document checklist for the inputs that define an estimating scope. Contact the business to confirm the appropriate receiving method before sharing files.
